BAPTISM PHOTOS: We’ve been having fun looking at pictures of the students’ baptism photos. If you have not had a chance to send in a photo, I will continue showing the students to the class.

SPELLING TESTS: The students continue to do a great job with their spelling tests! This week’s words are: one, two, he, here, the, this, what, you, where, see.

INTENT TO RETURN: Please have them turned in by March 30th.

MAGAZINE: We have been using magazines to make collages.  If you have any old magazines at home you can donate, it would be greatly appreciated (not fashion magazines).  Please check the pictures in the magazine to make sure they’re appropriate.  Parenting and home magazines are pretty safe. 

 BOOK DRIVE: The 6th grade class is in charge of the service learning project for the month of April.  They are collecting books for BookEnds.  It is a nonprofit organization that coordinates book drives in schools to recycle their quality books directly into the hands of kids in schools and youth organizations in desperate need of books. We will be donating the books to St. Thomas the Apostle School.  Their goal is to collect 1,000 books!

MONDAY (3/26): VIRTUS training at 9am in O’Ryan hall.

TUESDAY (3/27): Muffins for Mom – All moms are encouraged to stay for the morning assembly to receive a muffin at the end.

WEDNESDAY (3/28): The Parent Club has planned a parent workshop – Life Stage – College Planning. It will be in O’Ryan hall at 6pm. Child care will be provided.

THURSDAY (3/29): Jump Rope for Heart – We will have a Jump Rope for Heart event in the afternoon. If your child has received sponsors, please have the forms turned in by Thursday.

Art class – We will our monthly art class in the morning. Parents (VIRTUS trained) are encouraged to volunteer.


MATH: Review or complete the math sheet your child is bringing home daily.

PHONICS: Complete phonics worksheets your child is bringing home.

READING: Please read with your child for 10 minutes or let your child read to you. Don’t forget to mark your March reading calendars.
