I hope everyone had a great 3 day weekend!

Kindergarten teacher observations: We will have some visitors in the class on Tuesday morning. The Kindergarten teachers from 5 local Catholic schools will be visiting our classroom to observe my teaching and participate in a meaningful, collaborative discussion.

Anti-bullying campaign: The students will participate in an anti-bullying campaign at 8:30am will grades PreK-3. Parents are welcome to attend.

Open house: We will be having an Open House on Thursday at 6pm for prospective families. If you know anyone who is looking for a school for their child, please encourage them to attend on Thursday.

Picture day retakes: All the students will need to retake their school pictures on October 18th. There was a technical problem with Lifetouch and all the individual photos will need to be taken again. Students will need to wear the same thing they wore on last Tuesday. Forms do not need to be completed again.

Halloween: Students are to wear their Halloween costume to school. Every student is expected to be a part of this activity: however it is not necessary for you to purchase expensive items. Costumes should be in good taste, meaning no weapons, masks, graphic violence, immodest dress or inappropriate slogans. The parade of costumes will begin at 8:15am.

Saints Day Parade: We request that each child wear their Halloween costume to school and bring their saints costume (saints costumes can be brought to school any day the week before Halloween and I will hold onto them). Before the saints parade, eighth grade students will help the students change into their saint’s costume. Every student is expected to be a part of the activity however it is not necessary for you to purchase expensive items. You are encouraged to be creative and use items that you already have at home. (Suggestion for a saint costume: an angel costume)

This is a fun activity and we welcome the parents to come and watch the younger students parade around the school yard dressed as their patron saint.

The parade will begin at 11:30am. Hot dogs will be served for lunch and dismissal will be at 12:30pm. Don’t forget your cameras!
