Kindergarten will be very busy in the next couple weeks. We will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week and next week will be the 100th day of school!

Here is the schedule for Catholic School’s Week:

MONDAY: A+ for America in our Graduate – Good Shepherd Alumni have been invited to visit the school.

TUESDAY: A+ for America for our Parents – Refreshments will be served at the parent meeting. We will have our Open House and Art Show from 6:00-7:30 pm. Parents are invited to come check out the classrooms and art work from art class.

WEDNESDAY: A+ for America for our Students – Students will have free dress and no homework. The students will also play various Minute to Win It influenced games. PARENTS ARE WELCOME/INVITED TO VOLUNTEER IN THE CLASSROOM IN THE AFTERNOON TO HELP COORDINATE THE GAMES. I WILL ALSO NEED 5 LARGE BAGS OF M&Ms FOR THE GAME BEING HOSTED IN OUR CLASSROOM. MONEY SPENT ON THE CANDY WILL GO TOWARDS VOLUNTEER HOURS ($10=1 HOUR). PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU CAN BUY ALL 5 BAGS.

THURSDAY: A+ for America for Vocations – We will have various priests and sisters speak to the students about their vocations.

FRIDAY: A+ for America for our Faculty and Staff – Faculty and staff will be served lunch by student council. Grades 5 and 6 will be Ruddy’s helpers for “Give Ruddy a break today!”. Students will get to participate in a teacher trivia of identifying teachers’ baby pictures.

BAKE SALE: The Kindergarten class and the 7th grade class will be holding a bake sale at Good Shepherd School on Sunday, February 6th. We will need parents to volunteer on that day to sell baked goods before and after the masses (8:30am, 10:30am, and 12:00pm). We will also need parents to donate baked goods. Please look out for emails from Kelly regarding when/how to bring in the baked goods.

100th day of school: Our 100th day of school will be on Thursday, February 10th . We will be celebrating with grades 1 and 2. We have many activities planned for the day. We will need parent volunteers (after recess at 10:10am to lunch time at 12:00pm) and each student will need to bring in one box of fruit loops.

MATH: Review or complete the math sheet your child is bringing home daily. (except for Wednesday)

READING: Please turn in the January Reading Calendar for a Pizza Hut coupon. I will be sending home the February reading calendar. Please read with your child for 10 minutes or let your child read to you.
