Christmas program:

  • Tuesday, December 13, 2010
  • The Christmas program will be at Good Shepherd Church.
  • The students will need to be at the church by 6:15. The program will begin at 6:30pm.
  • This year, the Kindergarten class will be singing “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”. I have posted a youtube video of the song with lyrics at the bottom of this post. Please practice with your child. The students will also be singing a Spanish song they learning with Ms Hernandez. A youtube video of the song and lyrics can be found on her blog:
  • Students will dress in nice clothes (no jeans, tennis shoes).
  • The Kindergarten class will sit together as a class before their performance.
  • The Kindergarten students will be dismissed to their parents after their performance.

Monday (12/13): We will be walking over to the church at 12:45pm to drop off the donated gifts and practice for the Christmas program. We will be walking with our 5th grade buddies. Parents are welcome to walk with us if they’d like. Permission slips were signed and returned at the beginning of the school year.

Wednesday (12/15): There will be a Santa’s secret shop set up in O’Ryan hall. The students are invited to purchase small gifts for family members/friends. If you would like your child to participate, please send money with the students. Flyers and an envelope were sent home last week. Please let me know if you need another one.

Friday (12/17) – holiday dress: Students will be able to wear holiday related clothes. It is a free dress day (no spirit dress).

Friday (12/17) – gingerbread houses: We will be making small, individual gingerbread houses with our buddies. I will need each student to bring in 2 bags of candy. The 5th graders will be bringing in graham crackers and frosting. Parents are welcome to volunteer/participate. If possible, please send something that will allow your child to take home his/her gingerbread house without breaking.

Holiday treats: Students are welcome to bring in holiday treats/gift bags for their classmates (There are 9 students in the class.). We will pass them out on Friday before making gingerbread houses. Students can begin bringing in the gifts any day during the week and I will hold onto them.

MATH: Review or complete the math sheet your child is bringing home daily.
