Thursday: Scholastic book orders are due on Thursday. This will be the last book order for the school year.

Friday: We will be walking to church first thing in the morning for the May Procession. Permission slips will not be sent home since they were filled out at the beginning of the year. Students will NOT wear their spirit shirts on Friday.

School Carnival: Our first Spring Carnival will be on Sunday, May 23rd. This will be an all day event from 9:30-5:00. Hope to see you all there!

Baby Wipes: We are beginning to run out of baby wipes. Please bring in one or two boxes for the classroom. Thank you!

Graduation: The Kindergarten graduation will be on Wednesday, June 9th at 11 am. Please let me know as soon as possible if your child will not be able to attend. Each students’ role in the graduation has been sent home last week. Please practice the songs/prayers that have been posted on the blog.

Father Tom Cahill: Father Tom Cahill is an alumni to Good Shepherd Catholic School and came to our school last Thursday to share with us his missionary work in India. He runs an orphanage in India and we as a school have decided to help him by collecting money to help him purchase a fish tank. The tank will be 30ft x 30ft x 6ft tall. This is a large tank the orphanage will use to raise fish for food.

Safeguard the Children lesson:  This week (Tuesday & Wednesday), the students will be receiving the yearly Teaching Touching Safety lessons. The Touching Safety program is a vehicle through which parents and teachers can give children and young people the tools they need to protect themselves from those who might harm them. Permission slips were sent home last week. These permission slips are to be signed and returned. The first lesson will discuss what kind of information should and should not be made public and the second lesson will discuss the difference between secrets and surprises.

Monday, May 24: There will be no school on this day. This is the day after the school carnival. This day is not marked on the school calendar as a no school day.
