Valentine’s Day project: We will be making a Valentine bag to place the Valentine gifts/cards we receive on Friday. I will need each student to bring in a medium size shopping bag (preferably as monotone as possible). The Bloomingdale’s medium bag is a good size. Here’s a link to the project we will be making to give you a better idea.

Candy grams: The student council will be selling Valentine candy grams during recess this week.  Each gram cost $0.25 and can be sent to anyone in the school.  This is similar to the Halloween candy grams.  Suggestion:attach a list of names with the money.

Friday: Friday will be spirit dress and ice cream will be available for $1.00.

Valentine’s Day: On Friday, February 12th we are celebrating Valentine’s Day. Students are welcome to bring cards for a card exchange. I have included a list of names below. You can purchase cards or be creative and make your own. There are 23 students in the class, 13 boys and 10 girls. This is a good writing experience for the children. Please help them pace it and write a few cards each day. Remind them to write as neat as they can since they are giving this away, but remember that we just started writing and mistakes such as reversed letters are accepted. Have fun!!!
