Religion: In religion, we have been learning about our families. We’ve learned how to help our families and to thank God for our families. The students have drawn a picture of their family. Please send a picture of your family to school this week.

Wednesday: We will have a buddy activity this Wednesday afternoon.

Sunday: Sunday is the start of Catholic’s School week. The Kindergarten students are encouraged to attend the 10:30am mass on Sunday, January 31st. The following link is a copy of the Catholic School week schedule. It will be an exciting week with many activities planned.

Word group: This week we will learn about the word group –ad (dad, lad, pad, rad, sad, mad).

100th day of school: The 100th day of school will be on Thursday, February 4th. We will celebrate in the afternoon with first and second grade. We will need parent volunteers to help prepare before and during the day. Our room mom will be sending more information and help coordinate the day.


Math: Complete and return daily math worksheets.

BRING! Please send from home items that begin with the letter “Jj” on Mon, Tues, and Wed and letter “Xx” on Thur and Fri. In class we’ll look at the items, say the name of them, and listen to the beginning sound.

Handwriting: The letter “Jj” and “Xx” handwriting worksheet

Word Group: Complete and return “-at” daily worksheets.

         Review for the quiz on Friday.

Friday: Bring the “Jj” book back to school on Friday and the letter “Xx” book next Monday. Follow instructions from the previous Kinder News.

READING: Don’t forget to mark the January Reading Calendar and read with your child for at least 15 minutes a day.
