We have a very busy schedule planned for this week. Please read the information posted very carefully and often.
Christmas program (Thursday evening):

  • The Christmas program will be on Thursday at 6:30pm.
  • Please let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.
  • I will be meeting everyone at Good Shepherd Church (505 N. Bedford Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90210).
  • Please meet at the side of the Church next to the Parish Hall. (This may change after we have our school practice on Wednesday.)
  • The Kindergarten class will be performing a Nativity play with the 7th grade class. Students will be angels and shepherd during the play. Students will be assigned what color they need to wear.  Please dress them in nice clothes in the color they are assigned.  Ex: a red dress or a nice red shirt. Students will be assigned from colors BLUE, YELLOW, GREEN, RED, or WHITE.
  • Kindergarten will sing first with Pre School (Away in a Manger). Please practice this song at home. A YouTube video of a karaoke version of the song has been added at the end of the post. This will allow the students to practice the song while practicing their reading skills.
  • Kindergarten will then sing on their own (Little Drummer Boy). Please practice this song at home. A YouTube video of a karaoke version of the song has been added at the end of the post. This will allow the students to practice the song while practicing their reading skills.
  • Please let me know if you are able to help direct students during the performance.
  • Students will be dismissed to their parents after the Nativity play and watch the remainder of the program with their families.

Monday: Monday is the door decorating contest. All the classrooms will have one door decorated. I will be posting pictures of the doors if you are unable to see them.

Tuesday: Raffle tickets for the fall fundraiser are due.  The due date has been extended one more day.

Wednesday:

  • The drawing for the fall fundraiser has been changed to Wednesday.  Good luck!
  • We will be walking to the church at 1pm with the 7th grade class. We will be walking before the other students in the school in order to practice the Nativity play. Please let me know if you can walk with us. Permission slips were signed at the beginning of the year. Students will return to school before dismissal time.
  • During our buddy activity last Friday, the 5th graders helped us write letters to the North Pole asking the elves questions. We will be reading their responses on Wednesday after returning from Church.
  • If you were planning on passing out treats to the students in the class, please bring them to the class before Wednesday. Some students will not be in school on Thursday and Friday and would like all the students to participate in sharing and receiving gifts. (Reminder: there are 24 students in the class. Treats will only be passed out if there is one for each child.)

Thursday: Students are to dress as elves/Santa’s helpers. Ex: students can wear a Santa hat, green pants.

Friday:

  • No spirit dress.
  • There will be a mass at school at 10am. I am planning on taking the Kindergarten students.
  • After care will be available.
