Addition facts:

As a part of our daily math meeting the students will practice addition facts. I will send home all the addition fact. I will also be sending home two sheets of these addition facts to work on at home each week. Take your time completing these throughout the week. They do not need to be turned in. The date shows when new facts will be introduced.

Addition Facts:

Mon. April 27 (1+1=2, 1+2=3, 2+1=3)

Mon. May 4 (1+3=4, 3+1=4, 2+2=4)

Mon. May 11 (1+4=5, 4+1=5, 2+3=5, 3+2=5)

Mon. May 18 (1+5=6, 5+1=6, 2+4=6, 4+2=6)

Mon. May 25 (1+6=7, 6+1=7, 2+5=7, 5+2=7)

Mon. June 1 (1+7=8, 7+1=8, 2+6=8, 6+2=8)

Mon. June 8 (1+8=9, 8+1=9, 2+7=9, 7+2=9)

Mon. June 15 (1+9=10, 9+1=10, 2+8=10, 8+2=10)

DNA Day: On Monday morning, we will be celebrating DNA day. Ms Bhakta has a special project planned for the students on Monday morning.

Buddy Day: The student council has a buddy day planned for the school on Wednesday afternoon. We will have a rep rally and play retro games.  Students will wear their spirit shirts.

Library Field Trip: On Thursday, we will be taking a field trip to the Beverly Hills Library and the Fire House. If you will not be driving your child, please be sure to send your child to school with their booster seat.

Friday: There will be NO spirit dress.
Walk a Thon: The walk a thon is coming up on May 15. Please turn in your t shirt orders and sponsor forms as soon as possible.

CPK visit: Last Wednesday, we got a visit from CPK on Beverly. They brought us pizza for lunch, school supplies (glue, construction paper, scissors, colored pencils) for the classroom and a coupon. These coupons can be used at the CPK on Beverly and Charleville.

Spring Pictures: Spring pictures were sent home last week. Everyone turned out great! Please turn in your payment or unwanted pictures.

Progress reports: Progress reports were sent home during the break. Please feel free to schedule a time with me (preferably in the morning) if there are any questions or concerns. The progress reports can be kept at home but I do need the envelopes signed and returned. This will let me know the progress reports were received.

Word group: This week’s word group is –ot (cot, dot, hot, pot, got)

 

Homework

Math: Complete and return daily math worksheets.

Reminder: The Math addition sheets DO NOT need to be turned in.

Handwriting: This week we will be practicing letters Xx-Zz, numbers 1-4

READING: Don’t forget to mark your April reading calendar. The May calendar will be sent home at the end of the week.
