Toy Drive

Bring in a new WRAPPED toy for the Toy Drive!  The toy must be wrapped, must have a label that says if it is for a boy or a girl and the toy must be for the Kindergarten age.  These gifts are due by Wednesday, December 17. We will be taking the presents to church on Wednesday.

Christmas Program

Our school Christmas program will be on Thursday, December 18th. The Kindergarten class will be singing “All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth”. The words to the song has been posted on the blog and sent home. Please practice this song at home with your child. We will be walking to the church with our 5th grade buddy class at 1:15pm. Please try to send your children to school without their backpacks or lunch boxes. We would like prevent the kids from carrying things to the church. All students will be picked up from the church. There will be no after care and students will not be taken back to school to be picked up. Students do not wear their uniforms that day. They are to wear their Christmas best. This does not include jeans.

We will also be going to Church on Wednesday, December 17th at 12:40pm to practice. The students will be walking back to school and will be dismissed from school. There will be no after care.

Christmas Gifts

If you are planning to give gifts to the students in the class, please remember there are 15 students in our class. If you would like a complete list of students in the class please let me know. (There have been a couple of students who are no longer at Good Shepherd and we have one new student who has started last week.) We will be passing these out on Friday. You are welcome to bring them into the class earlier in the week if you’d like.

Buddy Activity

We will be having another buddy activity with 5th grade on Monday afternoon. The student council has organized an activity for the whole school. We will be making ornaments with our buddies.

Our buddy day activity last week was great! The students all enjoyed making the gingerbread houses. We have a couple of the houses on display in our room. I will be posting up pictures soon. The fifth graders also helped us write letters to Santa’s elves in the North Pole. We will be mailing these out and we may be getting a response from them.
