Letter Aa

Last Friday, we celebrated Johnny Appleseed’s birthday by having a small apple party. We will continue with our apple theme this week while learning about the letter Aa. We will begin the week with the short Aa sounds (ex: apple, Alice, alligator). At the end of the week, on Thursday and Friday, we will learn about the long Aa (ex. ape, April, Abraham).

Please bring in items from home that begin with the letter Aa. (Short Aa on Mon-Wed. and long Aa on Thur-Fri). In class we will look at the items, say the name and listen to the beginning sound. The letter “Aa” mini book will be sent home on Tuesday and will be due on Friday.
