Please continue to practice with your child the Character Counts pledge, Pledge of Allegiance, Salute to the Cross, the Good Shepherd school song, the words to the songs, and their individual lines. He/She will also need to practice this line:

My name is _________. When I grow up I want to be _______________.

Clothes for the program: clean school uniform

Boys: pants, grey polo, black tennis shoes

Girls: jumper, white sailor blouse, tie, black shoes

They have all been doing a great job during our practices!

I will be setting up for our graduation next Tuesday (6/17) after school in O’Ryan Hall. I have a lot of decorations and your help is much desired!

Students will need to bring in their own lunches starting Monday, June 9th.

Please send a sturdy bag with your child by Thursday. The students will need a sturdy bag to carry home all of their belongings (books and things in cubbies).

Students will be receiving their yearbooks on Wednesday, June 11th. They will get a chance to sign other students’ yearbook and get their yearbooks signed (including students in the other grades).

If you were planning to get gifts for students in the class, please send Lauren’s gift by the end of the week. Lauren’s last day will be Friday, June 13.

We will be walking to Good Shepherd Church on Friday, June 13 for mass. This mass is in honor of the 8th grade class, who will be graduating on Saturday, June 14. Parents are welcome to walk with us to the church or meet us at the church. We will be leaving school first thing in the morning for mass at 8:30am. Students will need to wear their complete uniform. No spirit uniform.

June 16 (Monday): Step up day-students will get to spend some time in 1st grade.

I will not be sending any homework this week. Instead, their homework is to practice for the graduation. There will be no reading calendar for the month of June. But please continue to read to or with your child everyday.
