December 17, 2007

Dear Parents,

It is hard to believe we’re already here- I’ll be thinking of all of you during break. May we all find that moment’s peace, which allows us to slow down and remember what is deepest and dearest to us!

Please come and watch the kindergarteners perform “Joy to the World” and the Nativity Scene on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 1:45 pm, at Good Shepherd Church. We have practiced a lot and the kids are doing well. During the Nativity Scene, the students will only be standing and will not have any speaking roles.  Please bring your child’s costume tomorrow with their name on the bag.  If anyone has an extra costume, please include that with your child’s costume.  In case you’ve forgotten, each students’ role in the Nativity Scene has been posted on the blog.

Be aware the children are young and don’t know what to anticipate. Please sit down and enjoy the program, if there is any problem during the program and I need your assistance I will find you.  That could be anything from stage fright, tears, or playing during other classes’ performance.  Help your child go to bed early to be rested on Wednesday.

The students should NOT bring their backpacks that day; only a snack.  We will be walking to the church as a class on Tuesday, December 18 (for practice) and Wednesday, December 19.  Permission slips must be signed and returned by tomorrow.  There will be NO after care on Wednesday.  All students must be picked up from church by 3:00pm.

If you had plan on providing gifts for the class, please bring them in before Thursday, December 20 and I will pass them out accordingly.

There will be homework this week.  Daily math homework will be sent home but does not need to be turned in on Wednesday since students are not to bring their backpacks.  Please continue to read with your child over the break and return the December calendar when we return during the week of January 7, 2008.

I hope everyone has been checking the blog regularly.  This will be the last Kinder News sent home.  However, I will be posting them on the blog.

Please keep me updated throughout the break how you and your family are doing and I’d be glad to post that on our blog.  The blog will allow us to read how everyone is doing and see pictures.

Have a wonderful Christmas!

See you next year!
